Counting Down to SIIM

This isn't a post—it's a promise. We're going to try to do at least a brief post every day here leading up to the SIIM meeting next week! Getting very excited to see everyone there, both informally and all together at the in-person meeting on Friday morning.

Topics I expect we're going to be discussing in coming posts:

• Efforts at making CDEs at scale (as applied first to chest CTs)
• Actual applications of using CDEs to represent findings in chest CT reports
• Demo tool that lets you create CDE-labeled FHIR Observation objects!
• Hackathon project: We're going to have an online demo for the tool for associating CDE sets with RadLex, SNOMED CT, and Anatomic Locations concepts. You'll be able to participate and rate the results as we go!

And I'd take requests—what else should we post about?
